Graduating this year?

For most of you, this is your last year of high school. There are many things you need to know about graduating. This section will provide you with the information about the post secondary processes by posting the materials handed out at assemblies, newsletters, and by providing important web sites.

Timelines for Craig Kielburger  Grade 12 Students
September
  • visit to Student Services - sign freedom of information forms
  • information on college and university visits
October
  • College and University visits to Craig Kielburger
  • University Fair in Toronto (bus tour)
  • College Fair in Toronto (bus tour) 
  • Students should visit schools they are considering
  • Most schools have open houses
September to December
  • Make an appointment with Guidance Counsellors to discuss pathways planning
  • Research information on scholarships and bursaries
  • VISIT, VISIT, VISIT
February
  • Brag Sheet should be completed (this information is used to help us determine suitability for in-school awards, for writing letters of reference, for knowing where are grads are planning to go next year)
  • Final semester 1 marks sent to colleges and universities
  • Students should check for accuracy three days later
  • Report any problems to guidance immediately
April
  • Semester 2 midterm marks are send to colleges and universities meet the deadlines that teachers assign – there are no extensions
  • Students should check for accuracy three days later
  • Report any problems to the guidance immediately
May

VALEDICTORIAN NOMINATIONS
  • Nomination forms available in Student Services 
  • Voting during Leave a Legacy Grade 12 Day

June
  • Begin application for OSAP
  • Final marks are sent to colleges and universities
  • Check three days later for accuracy
  • Report any problems to the guidance immediately
  • Pick up your report card the first week of July– it will have a transcript in it so you can verify that you have graduated
